Jan Hein Hoogstad

Jan Hein Hoogstad is founder and lead developer at Offcourse.io, an open source and open content platform for knowledge sharing and curation.

 

Previously, he worked at University of Amsterdam where he taught for over 10 years and developed the first programming bootcamp in The Netherlands. Jan Hein holds a PhD in philosophy from the University of Utrecht.

 

Jan Hein Hoogstad has won several awards, among which the Best of Web award for his initiated research project “Augmenting Masterpieces at Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. For Public Spaces, he develops Common Badges: a tool to map, validate, and reward products and organizations that contribute to a better internet.
