Erika Rushton
How do creative communities change their world?
Erika Rushton is a creative economist with experience of delivering creatively led buildings and area regeneration over a 25-year period. She started her career as an Artist in Residence using art to take the story of an outer city housing estate to the city centre securing investment to create jobs, improve housing and establish youth services.
Over the last 20 years Erika has assembled partners and funds for employment creation and physical redevelopment programmes including a £300M collaborative investment as Director of INclude Neighbourhood Regeneration Co and £32M at Rope Walks cultural quarter, Liverpool.
Erika is the former chair of Granby 4 Streets Community Land Trust recently awarded the Tuner Prize for its collaboration with Assemble – an arts and architects maker collective.
